FRESNO - After a three game winning drought, a drought that even cost Fresno State it's two year at home winning streak, the Bulldog's are back to their winning ways as they now head into Mountain West Conference play.

Saturday night at Bulldog Stadium, Fresno State met the Thunderbirds of Southern Utah University.  At first it looked like the T-birds were going to put up a fight with Southern Utah drawing first blood in the second quarter with a field goal, then a quick answer to a Fresno State touchdown. But then the Bulldogs went on a 35 straight unanswered point run through the remainder of the second quarter and through-out the third quarter that the Thunderbirds couldn't come back from.

Nebraska scored twice within the first three minutes of the game. The first score came from a 70 yard pass completion to Sophmore Jordan Westerkamp. The second came from a 57 yard rush from senior Ameer Abdullah. Both after-point kicks from freshman Drew Brown were good for a quick 14-0 lead.

LOS ANGELES - No. 15 Southern California scored 24 unanswered points to open the game and Fresno State was never able to catch back up, falling 52-13 on Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Just like when the two teams met in the 2013 Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl, Trojan quarterback Cody Kessler had a big game to lead the Trojans to the victory. The Bakersfield native threw for a career-high 394 yards and four touchdowns to lead USC to its 16th-straight victory in season openers.
