FRESNO - Marteze Waller scored on a 38-yard rushing touchdown with 2:37 left and the Fresno State defense sacked the UNLV on a fourth down inside of two minutes with the rain pouring down in Bulldog Stadium as the `Dogs won 31-28 Friday night over the Rebels (2-5, 1-2 MW). The loss snaps a five-game losing streak for the Bulldogs and came after Fresno State (2-5, 1-3 MW) erased an 11-point deficit it faced entering the fourth quarter.

"I think in other games our guys had almost not a sense of despair, but a sense of I don't know if we could do this. There was some doubt lingering," head coach Tim DeRuyter said. "Tonight I had no sense of that. Guys were determined on the sideline and there was a look of we are going to find a way."
