FRESNO  - The 2016 Spring Showcase for the Fresno State football team is being held Saturday, April 2 and Bulldog Athletics has many entertaining attractions that day to accompany the football team’s last hurrah of spring ball. From the chance to win free season tickets, to a free kids clinic on the field with Bulldog football players, a BBQ and the return of the Bulldog Yard Sale, it all will be happening at Bulldog Stadium.

"It has been an exciting and energetic spring for us and we value every opportunity we get to be out on the field," head coach Tim DeRuyter said. "We would love for the Red Wave to come out and join us in Bulldog Stadium on Saturday. We really feel they will love the product they see out on the field and how hard this team plays. The weather is supposed to be outstanding, we'll have a free kids clinic and I personally would like to see some fans show off their arms and win their season tickets in our throw-to-win contest."

FRESNO - Fresno State Athletics announced Sunday that quarterback Zack Greenlee has been granted a release from the Bulldog football program. Greenlee, who is majoring in mass communications and journalism, will finish out the spring academic semester at Fresno State and seek another institution to transfer to.

Fresno State’s policy on granting transfer releases is that student-athletes are not allowed to transfer to another school in the conference or three other schools of the coaches choosing.  “I am very thankful for the dedication that Zack brought to our program,” head coach Tim DeRuyter said. “He was a good teammate and a good player to coach. He now wishes to pursue other avenues with his education and football career and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”
