MADERA -  Where can you buy a goat for $33 a pound? The Madera Fair Junior Livestock Auction brought out the agriculture community to support the kids of the FFA and 4H and the community did not disappoint.

The school kids sold their animal projects and some collected belt buckles for grand champions and showmanship. Last year the fair set a record for the amount of money raised to support these projects. This years numbers are not available yet. If you missed the auction you can still come out and place bump bids to help out.

All of the ag animals may be gone but there are other animals still at the fair. If you've never seen an alligator, bring the kids out to see a real live one. Also the "worlds" largest pig is on display about fifty feet from the jaguars, tigers and lions. There is even a mechanical bull.

Today the gates open at 3pm for the last day of the 2013 season. It's Early Bird Sunday where kids are free and carnival wristbands are buy one get one until 5pm.
